Terms and Conditions for The UK Ayurvedic Centre

1. Acceptance of Terms
   

Welcome to The UK Ayurvedic Centre ("Website"). These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website located at www.theukayurvediccentre.com and all clinical consultations, online sessions, marma point massage therapies, multi-session wellness programs (including our "Journey to Self-Discovery" program), dispensing of Ayurvedic medicines, and sale of herbal oils and products provided by The UK Ayurvedic Centre ("we," "our," or "us"). By booking an appointment, purchasing programs or products, or accessing our Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services or Website.

1. Professional Scope and Medical Disclaimer
   

2.1 Ayurvedic Practice Scope: We provide Ayurvedic consultations (both face-to-face and online), traditional marma point massage therapies, structured wellness programs such as our "Journey to Self-Discovery," lifestyle guidance, and dispense authentic Ayurvedic medicines, herbal supplements, and oils.
2.2 Not Medical Advice: All information provided on this Website, during consultations, or through our therapies and wellness programs is for informational, educational, and traditional Ayurvedic wellness purposes only. It is not intended to replace professional medical advice, formal medical diagnosis, or medical treatment.
2.3 Medical Supervision: Always seek the advice of your general practitioner (GP) or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on our Website or heard during an Ayurvedic consultation, therapy session, or wellness program.
2.4 Emergency Situations: We do not offer emergency medical services. In the event of a medical emergency, you must immediately call 999 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.

1. Eligibility and Client Disclosures
   

3.1 Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to book consultations, receive therapies, enroll in wellness programs, or purchase medicines independently. Bookings for minors (under 18) must be made and attended by a parent or legal guardian who assumes full legal and financial responsibility.
3.2 Full Health Disclosure: You agree to provide a complete, accurate, and truthful medical history, including any pre-existing medical conditions, surgeries, allergies, infectious diseases, prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and whether you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
3.3 Ongoing Duty to Update: You have an ongoing duty to inform us immediately of any changes to your health status, medications, or pregnancy status prior to any subsequent consultation, therapy session, program module, or ingestion of Ayurvedic medicines.
3.4 Right of Refusal: We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue any consultation, therapy, wellness program, or supply of medicines if we believe it is unsafe, medically contraindicated, outside our professional scope, or if a client fails to provide complete health disclosures.
3.5 GP Notification: We strongly recommend keeping your primary GP informed of any Ayurvedic consultations, treatments, programs, or herbal medicines you undertake.
3.6 Liability Release for Undisclosed Information: The UK Ayurvedic Centre and its practitioners shall bear no liability whatsoever for any adverse reactions, complications, or injuries arising directly or indirectly from a client's failure to fully and accurately disclose their medical history, current medications, allergies, or pregnancy status.

1. Consultation, Therapy, Program, and Cancellation Policies
   

4.1 Deposits: When booking consultations, therapies, or specialized programs, we may require a deposit. All paid deposits are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
4.2 Advance Payment for Programs ("Journey to Self-Discovery"): Enrollment in our multi-session programs, such as the "Journey to Self-Discovery," requires full payment upfront prior to the commencement of the program.
4.3 Non-Refundable Program Policy: Fees paid for the "Journey to Self-Discovery" program or any other multi-session package are strictly non-refundable. If a client chooses not to start, discontinues, or fails to complete the full "Journey to Self-Discovery" program or package for any reason whatsoever, they are not entitled to any refund, credit, or partial reimbursement.
4.4 General Consultation and Therapy Payments: All standard consultation fees and individual therapy sessions must be paid in full at the time of booking or at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Unpaid appointments may be subject to cancellation and forfeiture.
4.5 Cancellation and Rescheduling Notice: We strictly require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule any single consultation or therapy appointment.
4.6 Late Cancellations and No-Shows: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to attend a scheduled appointment ("no-show"), will result in the forfeiture of the full consultation or therapy fee (or deposit), with no refunds or credits issued.
4.7 Late Arrival: If you arrive late for a face-to-face consultation or marma point massage therapy session, your session will still end at the scheduled time to respect subsequent appointments, and the full fee will remain payable.
4.8 Online Consultation Requirements: For online consultations or virtual program sessions, you are solely responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection, a quiet environment, and functional audio and video equipment. Missed or disrupted sessions due to client technical failures are non-refundable.
4.9 Therapist Safety: We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards abusive, threatening, inappropriate, or sexually suggestive behavior toward our staff. In the event of such behavior, the session will be terminated immediately, all fees and deposits will be forfeited, and future service will be permanently refused, with authorities notified if necessary.

1. Marma Point Massage Therapy Specifics
   

5.1 Nature of Therapy: Marma point massage involves manual stimulation of vital energy points across the body using traditional herbalized oils.
5.2 Physical Contact and Draught Protection: Professional draping methods are maintained at all times, but physical touch is inherent to the therapy. By booking, you consent to safe, professional physical contact necessary for marma point administration.
5.3 Post-Treatment Care: You will receive specific aftercare instructions (such as resting and drinking warm water). You agree to follow these guidelines. We accept no liability for adverse effects resulting from failure to follow post-treatment instructions.
5.4 Oil and Allergen Warning: Traditional oils used in therapies and dispensed medicines may contain sesame oil, coconut oil, nuts, dairy (ghee), or potent botanical herbs. It is your strict responsibility to verify ingredient suitability and notify us of any known sensitivities or skin allergies prior to treatment.

1. Ayurvedic Medicines, Products, and Dispensing Policies
   

6.1 Prescription and Recommendation Only: Ayurvedic medicines, herbal formulas, and oils are dispensed exclusively following a formal professional consultation or as part of a prescribed wellness program. They are tailored to your specific Ayurvedic constitution (Dosha) and imbalances.
6.2 Personal Use Only: Medicines and oils supplied by us are strictly for the individual client for whom they were prescribed. You must not share, resell, or administer these products to any third party, including family members.
6.3 Product Quality and Storage: Our products are sourced from reputable manufacturers adhering to high safety standards. Once delivered or collected, you are solely responsible for storing products correctly (away from direct sunlight, moisture, and out of reach of children) and using them before any stated expiry date.
6.4 Natural Variations: Ayurvedic herbal medicines and oils are natural products derived from plants, roots, and minerals. Minor natural variations in color, aroma, consistency, or taste between batches do not constitute a defect.
6.5 Product Returns and Refunds: For health, safety, hygiene, and regulatory reasons, opened or used Ayurvedic medicines, herbal formulas, and oils cannot be returned or refunded. Unopened, sealed, and undamaged retail products may be returned within 14 days of purchase at your own shipping expense, provided they are in pristine condition.

1. User and Client Conduct
   

7.1 Lawful Use: You agree to use our Website and services strictly for lawful purposes. You shall not post, transmit, or distribute any material that violates the rights of others, or is threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
7.2 Prohibited Activities: You agree not to use the Website or premises to engage in unlawful conduct, transmit viruses or harmful code, attempt unauthorized access to our digital systems, or disrupt the proper functioning of our business.

1. Intellectual Property
   

8.1 Ownership of Content: All content on this Website and within our clinic materials—including text, graphics, logos, images, treatment protocols, program materials (including the "Journey to Self-Discovery" curriculum), formulations, and software—is the exclusive property of The UK Ayurvedic Centre or its content suppliers and is protected by UK and international copyright and trademark laws.
8.2 Restriction of Use: You may not use, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content or proprietary material without our express written permission.

1. Limitation of Liability
   

9.1 Exclusion of Direct and Indirect Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall The UK Ayurvedic Centre, its practitioners, employees, or agents be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill—arising out of or in connection with your use of our Website, consultation services, marma point therapies, wellness programs, or ingestion/use of dispensed Ayurvedic medicines.
9.2 Service Availability: We do not warrant that our Website or booking portals will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful digital components.
9.3 Cap on Liability: If, notwithstanding the other provisions of these Terms, The UK Ayurvedic Centre is found to be liable for any damage or loss which arises out of or is in any way connected with your use of our services, our total aggregate liability shall in no event exceed the total amount paid by you to us for the specific consultation, therapy, program, or product giving rise to the claim.

1. Indemnification
   

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The UK Ayurvedic Centre, its owners, practitioners, employees, agents, and suppliers from and against all claims, liabilities, losses, expenses, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal and professional fees) resulting from:

• Any breach or violation of these Terms by you;
  
• Any failure on your part to provide accurate, complete, and truthful medical history or health disclosures;
  
• Any failure by you to follow post-treatment instructions or medicine usage guidelines;
  
• Any misuse or sharing of dispensed Ayurvedic medicines or oils with third parties.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time. Notice of material changes will be posted on this Website with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our Website or booking of services following any changes constitutes your formal acceptance of the revised Terms.

1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
   

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
